Healthcare

Carl Paladino:
-As the Governor of New York, Carl Paladino plans to cut $20 billion from the Medicaid budget in the first months of being in office. New Yorkers suffer the highest taxes in America and this is because we spend more on Medicaid than any other state. "New York spends more on Medicaid than any other state and almost as much as California and Texas combined." As a matter a fact, the second state that has high taxes - California, spends about half as on Medicaid as New York does. His plan for cutting $20 billion in Medicaid benefits will prevent waste, fraud and abuse in the system. Due to this New York State taxpayers will save $10 billion in the first year, making 30-40% country tax cuts definitely possible.

Andrew Cuomo:
-Andrew Cuomo has worked to reform the healthcare reimbursement system. He wants to end conflicts of interest and create fair reimbursement rates. "New York must find a way to bring its Medicaid costs more in line with that of other states if we are to control overall State spending." New York State spends 69% more on healthcare than the national average and any other country. He wants a vital restructuring of Medicaid that will achieve long term regulations. Cuomo wants to work hand in hand with the federal government, Obama's administration, to create a unified program. His plan is for this program to improve the care of those entitled to Medicare and Medicaid.
